Starent to Provide Multimedia Core for Cox Wireless Network
Starent Networks announced that Cox Communications has selected its
industry-leading multimedia core networking solutions for its wireless network.
Starent’s intelligent Packet Data Serving Node (PDSN) and Home Agent (HA) will
deliver robust data and multimedia services within Cox’s 3G network. Starent’s
intelligent In-line Services include enhanced charging, content filtering,
network-based traffic optimization, application detection and optimization as
well as stateful firewall to further improve network performance and
reliability.
