ADTRAN Sees Momentum for TA5000 in Tier 3 Market
ADTRAN announced that it is experiencing widespread acceptance in the Tier 3
market with its Total Access® 5000 Multi-Service Access and Aggregation Platform
(MSAP). This versatile platform allows carriers to address the demand for
greater bandwidth with an unprecedented breadth of copper and fiber solutions
utilizing GPON, bonded ADSL2+, and VDSL2 for multi-play service delivery.
“We are firmly focused and committed to the Tier 3 market,” said P. Steven
Locke, vice president of sales, service providers, ADTRAN Carrier Networks
Division. “ADTRAN's comprehensive portfolio includes a broad range of solutions
for Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP) and Broadband DLC. These solutions are critical
to the Tier 3 market as providers strengthen their service offerings and migrate
to next-generation networks. We are seeing significant growth in fiber and
broadband penetration within the Tier 3 space and the Total Access 5000 is a
perfect fit for them.”
The ADTRAN Total Access 5000 is a carrier class multi-service access and
aggregation platform that bridges the gap between existing and next-generation
networks. With an all-Ethernet core, the Total Access 5000 supports both legacy
and emerging voice, data, and video services delivered over copper and fiber
facilities, easily scaling to support bandwidth-intensive applications.
