beeTV makes its debut
beeTV unveiled today its revolutionary new way for people to watch television with beeTV, a Personal Content Channel. Taking existing electronic program guides (EPG's) to a completely new level, beeTV is a "personalized channel" which allows platforms (IPTV, cable, satellite, mobile, Internet and DTT) to market and distribute their television content in a personal, push manner. beeTV enables -- in fact, encourages -- viewers to be matched with content based on their individual tastes, behavior and mood. All of which are then catered to seamlessly.
When a viewer pushes a button on the remote, the platform responds instantly
with personalized, individualized matches of TV programs and movies. beeTV uses
the richness and impact of visual television images to bring personalized
content to the viewer -- no text, no red & green buttons, no hard work
navigating through an EPG. It embraces the entire universe of content available
from the platform, including broadcast TV, subscription and premium TV, VOD,
SVOD, PPV and PVR/Catch-up.

who sits around all day scouring the TV universe for programming you would enjoy

channel in real time fueled by the interaction of data derived from viewing
behavior, a consumer profile, timing sensitivity analysis and the business logic
and marketing requirements of the platform.
beeTV is designed to serve three screens: TV, Mobile, and PC with its server
side beeHIVE(TM) core technology. beeHIVE(TM) interfaces with the platform's
existing systems and encompasses all of beeTV's proprietary components. It
serves as the personalization and content marketing manager between the platform
and each viewer.
