Alloptic Expands RFoG Product Portfolio
Alloptic announced that they are expanding
their RFoG portfolio with the introduction of Return Path Receivers and Return
Path Transmitters.
“Since the first installation of our RFoG solution in 2006, we have received
strong market acceptance,” said Shane Eleniak, VP of Marketing and Business
Development at Alloptic. “Today, we have over 26 network operators actively
deploying Alloptic’s RFoG technology. With the introduction of our new Return
Path Receivers and Return Path Transmitters, Alloptic will further our position
as the market leader in RFoG solutions. Our Return Path Receiver provides
several distinct advantages, including temperature hardening for outdoor
installations and a 4dB noise performance improvement over competitive products.
This performance improvement gives the operator a combination of choices - more
subscribers per fiber, longer reach for customers farther away, and an optical
network ready for DOCSIS3.0 with channel bonding. Alloptic’s Return Path
Transmitters are also temperature-hardened, with models for industry-standard
1310nm or multiple wavelength WDM operation. These new products demonstrate our
on-going commitment to RF over Glass solutions, and they expand the industry’s
broadest portfolio of deployed technology.”
