Minvera Adds 10 IPTV Wins in North America
Minerva Networks has added ten (10) more IPTV wins in North America, including Mt. Horeb Telephone in Wisconsin, Tullahoma Utilities in Tennessee, and GTA TeleGuam in Guam.
With IPTV platforms delivering a superior user experience, HD/PVR set-top boxes
now readily available from multiple vendors, and early adopters enjoying rapid
subscriber penetration, more network operators are entering the market and
preparing to launch triple-play initiatives.
Minerva is taking advantage of this market momentum by providing a proven middleware platform that allows operators to launch television services very quickly and compete effectively against incumbents while minimizing infrastructure and operating costs.
Minerva iTVManager is a comprehensive software platform for the delivery and
management of a broad set of television services, including high-definition
television (HDTV), personal video recording (PVR), video-on-demand (VOD), music,
games, and communication applications.
“We needed an IPTV platform that would allow us to easily transition our existing video customers, and quickly attract new customers,” said John Dunbar, Assistant General Manager at MHTC. “After careful evaluation, we concluded that Minerva’s iTVManager provided all the key features we were looking for, along with a compelling roadmap that will allow MHTC to attract customers from our competitors.”
“When Tullahoma Utilities Board first began researching the implementation of an
FTTP system for our city, the one name that kept surfacing in our discussions
with other service providers was Minerva,” said Brian Skelton, General Manager
for Tullahoma Utilities Board. “Minerva has a strong track record in the IPTV
industry, and their middleware provides an excellent subscriber experience.”
“We needed a proven IPTV solution that we could roll out, support and maintain
with existing staff,” stated Dan Moffat, President and CEO at GTA TeleGuam.
“Minerva’s iTVManager came highly recommended from our peers, and it supports
key features like HDTV and advanced PVR.”
“We have built a platform that enables
carriers of any size to launch IPTV services quickly and cost effectively,”
stated Mauro Bonomi, CEO of Minerva Networks. “We look forward to contributing
to the success of the growing number of operators entering the triple-play
market worldwide.”
